Vedana Support

Vedana is a mood journal for iPhone and Apple Watch. Record how you feel in a couple of taps, see the shape of it over time, and keep it all on your own device. If something here does not answer your question, email us — a real person reads it.

Recording a mood

Tap Snap, pick a category, then an emotion, then how strong it feels. That is the whole flow — three choices and it is saved. A note, a photo, or a place can be added afterwards from the entry itself.

Why can't I log another mood right away?

There is a ten-minute pause after each entry. It is deliberate: a mood journal is more useful when it records how you felt over a day than when it records how fast you can tap. The app shows how long is left.

Can I change an entry after saving it?

The most recent entry stays editable for thirty minutes. After that it is part of the record. Older entries can still be deleted, but not rewritten — otherwise the history stops meaning anything.

The Home Screen widget

Add it the usual way: press and hold the Home Screen, tap +, and search for Vedana. The widget walks through the same category → emotion → intensity choices in place, then hands off to the app to save, which is also what lets it attach your location if you have allowed that.

Apple Watch

The watch app logs a mood to your iPhone; the phone is what stores it. They need to be in range for an entry to arrive. If you have granted Health access, the watch can attach the heart rate it read at that moment.

Apple Health

With permission, each mood is written to Health as a State of Mind sample, and your recent heart rate can be read on the watch to annotate an entry. Deleting a mood in Vedana also deletes the sample it created. Access can be granted or revoked in Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Health ▸ Vedana.

Vedana is not a medical device and makes no diagnostic claims. If you are struggling, please talk to someone qualified.

Icon packs and purchases

System and Blobs are free. The other packs are one-time purchases — cosmetic only; they change how the moods look and nothing else. No account or login is involved.

Moved to a new device, or reinstalled? Open Settings ▸ Store and tap Restore Purchases. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account, so they come back at no charge.

App Lock

You can put a passcode on the app in Settings ▸ App Lock ▸ Turn On Passcode, with Face ID or Touch ID as a shortcut past it. The passcode lives in that device's Keychain and does not sync, so it has to be set on each device. Biometrics are handled entirely by the system — the app never sees them.

There is no recovery for a forgotten passcode, because there is no server to ask. Deleting and reinstalling the app clears the lock, and your entries return from iCloud if sync is on.

Your data, and getting it out

Entries stay on your device and, if you are signed in, in your own private iCloud. Nothing reaches us.

Language

Vedana is available in English and Korean, and carries its own language setting in Settings ▸ Language — so you can read the app in one language while the rest of the system stays in another. The widget follows the same choice.
